Wahb Mabkhout

Wahb pursued studies in fashion design at the Marangoni Institute in Milan, graduating in 1987.

The same year he was scouted in a club and asked to model for Marithe et Francois Girbaud, marking the start of his modeling career. He was head hunted by several top designers such as Jean Paul Gaulthier, Issey Miyake, Dolce & Gabanna, Romeo Gigli, Gianfranco Ferre and many others and became the face of their brands, he has been the Dolce&Gabbana official fitting model for over five years since the inception of their men's collection as well as their in house photographer.

Working with the top photographers in the world he discovered his talent for directing and decided to move behind the camera full-time.

His skill immediately caught the attention of designers, Dolce and Gabbana, Gianfranco Ferre, Alberta Ferretti, who requested that he shoots for them. His work has appeared in Maxim, Max, FHM, GQ, Man, Nitro, DT, Cosmopolitan, Marie Claire, Sports Illustrated.

Italian L'Uomo Vogue, Marie Claire, American "Interview" and "PHOTO" showed an interest in his work publishing articles telling and his life story in the fashion industry. His major work includes Gian Franco Ferre underwear, Tuborg, Fuji Film, Simple, Bonaqua, Cattolica, American Swiss, Speedo and Bijem Hispanica, Cosmopolitan, Chantal, Ruffo and Cartier

His first book, "Fashion Tribes in Milan", was released in 1999. It was shot completely on digital cameras, as was his "Aggressive 2000" calendar, rated as one of the best released that year. He also styled and shot for "Contenitorio", a book written by top Italian art critic, Samuele Mazza.

After a working holiday in South Africa Wahb decided to make picturesque Cape Town his home. He soon became the most sought after photographer and was asked to shoot for GQ, Sports Illustrated, Cosmopolitan, Marie Claire, FHM and many other international Magazines worldwide

Wahb's expertise in photography expands from processing and printing all is Black and white images to specializing in digital photography and was one of the first professional photographers to embrace the medium since late nineties. Today he is renowned worldwide as one of the most experienced digital photographers.
